YES to OBAMA

Court of Appeals, Seat 1

Session 123, 2019-2020

2/6/2019

In 2013 President Obama nominated Allison Lee to a seat on the U.S. District Court. During Lee's tenure as a judge on the S.C. Circuit Court for the 5th District, she reduced bond for 2 accused violent criminals, who then killed innocent people while out on bond.

Fortunately, our U.S. Senator Tim Scott stepped in and blocked her confirmation by the U.S. Senate when Obama nominated her.

Later, in 2019, Lee ran for a seat on the S.C. Court of Appeals and Jonathan Hill joined 55 Democrats in the legislature and voted FOR Lee. Fortunately, real Republicans in the House stepped in and and rejected Lee when she was to be nominated by the S.C. House and Senate.
